Method of Spur Pap and Wors Bake Recipe Coking

  • Heat a large frying pan and add the oil.
  • Shape the sausage into a coil, place it in the pan, and cook for about 5 minutes on each side until it begins to brown.
  • Cook the chopped onion until it is softened.
  • Add the chopped tomato, Spur Durky Sauce, Spur Braai Time, Spur Grill Basting, Spur Seasoning Salt, and Spur Texas Steak Seasoning, then simmer for around 15 minutes until the sauce reduces.
  • Remove from heat and set aside.

Making the Pap

  • Boil the water and salt.
  • Quickly add the maize meal, whisking constantly to keep it smooth and lump-free.
  • Continue whisking until the pap thickens.

  • Press the cooked, warm maize into the greased base and sides of a 24 cm ovenproof dish.
  • Arrange the sausage coil on top and add the tomato and onion mixture.
  • Pour the Spur Cheese Sauce over the sausage and tomato mixture, then sprinkle with grated cheese.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Garnish with chopped rosemary and additional Spur Seasoning if desired. Let it set slightly before serving.
